Just curious, and this will be a free bump to the top, but are there differences among the steering wheels? I see some listed with 914-6 part numbers, etc.

If it ends in 10, it’s for a 70-71, 11 = 72-76 - four and six. The hub on an early wheel is the same as an early 911. The later 914 hubs matched VW columns. Either hub can work (splines are the same) on either column but it’s not a good fit due to the chamfer at the base of the steering shaft.

Mike, will your steering wheel fit on a 1973 2.0? Or is it for an early 70-71 only? What model year did it come from?

All 72-76's have the exact same hub, just different dates and part numbers. It will fit your 73 perfectly.

I was asked if I would split the horn pad from the steering wheel, I can do that if I can move both at the same time. So the horn pad is $170 and the steering wheel is $525 both include shipping in the USA.
