This one is the real deal. There's a great article about it in the latest Panorama, including some backroads driving impressions.

Wow! 70 million? That's what it sold for? Nope ... Do a Google search about the botched auction. Nobody could understand the auctioneer and it sounded like 70 million when in reality he was saying 17 million. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif) |

Nobody could understand the auctioneer and it sounded like 70 million when in reality he was saying 17 million. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif) That's the official story anyway. More likely that some shenanigans were going on and ended in a no-sale. Word on the street is that it's had a hard time finding buyers for 5m. they were really drumming up hype on the car pre-auction hoping to catch someone. Either way, very interesting and neat car. |

There's video of the auction, you can clearly hear that you can't clearly hear the auctioneer ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
