And then the cross member cover pieces.

I will probably not use the other vinyl pieces that go behind and next to the seat belt retractors, since the custom perlon panel covers those areas.

I love the polished look and I think the dash light idea was fantastic. It gives function to the ashtray area which would otherwise go unused. Great job

Super cool idea!
Only concern is any reflection you may pick up from that polished surface. You can always paint or powder coat it, should that become an issue.

Thanks, guys. I will see how it works out. The only remaining question is whether to put anything on it, like a "914" emblem.

I also got the replacement headlight pivot, same as the one I broke when it shifted and the motor drive made the lid bind up.

To mount the seat belt reels I needed some holes, and got out my trusty punch kit.

Two different size holes, for the reel pin and the bolt.

Both reels belted in place. The fit looks pretty good, maybe a bit high. And it will take some stretching to get it properly mounted.

Today, I mounted the custom cover, starting with masking off and spraying adhesive. Note: it took a second coat to get good stick.

The perlon covers the inside of the B-pillar, including the vent to the door jamb. I think the material is breathable enough so I will not cut an opening and then look for a grill.
