How do I adjust this so it is even. The hinges all work great and are not cracked / fractured. After my repaint I mounted everything but one side is off.
Is it the adjustment of the hinge hardware (all the little brackets / washers?) Any help is appreciated. |

Could be a lot going on there.
Assuming trunk hinges are in the right location . . . does it fit better with a gentle twist? Hard to tell from picture is this all lined up along all other sides but this is just excessive gap in Z height? Do you have the seals in there? Is one side seal sitting tall, holding up the right side? Not sure what you mean by "all the little brackets". The little 2nd leg that extends down to the wheelhouse doesn't control Z height. Did it fit properly before paint? |

Do you have the rubber adjusting nubs in the corners set right?
Passenger side may need screwed in more. |

Well, looks like trunk lock not installed. I suspect that once it is and the nubs are adjusted correctly, it should be fine.

If all the stuff mentioned above checks out, and if your karma is feeling VERY positive, you might try twisting the trunk lid a bit while it is open about a foot.

Thanks everyone. Yes I installed the rubber seal. I will try to install the lock this weekend and see what happens. Yes, before I took it all apart for paint, it was lined up. So maybe I need to play with the hinges a bit and make sure they are aligned well.
I like all the suggestions and Will report back if I get it right. |
