The photo below was taken June of 2004 at the EYES ON DESIGN. The young guy in the photo is Camilo Pardo ,he was the Chief Designer in charge of the styling for the GT,and a former classmate of mine in the early to mid 1980's at the CENTER FOR CREATIVE STUDIES. I'll tell you some guys are just too lucky to work on such cars, and than even go out and buy one. The GT is a awesome supercar, I am waiting to drive one some day soon.

One more photo of the original, and the remake of the GT. I think Pardo did just enough to update the design, and kept the vintage look that everybody loves.

More like from Detroit to Dearborn at Ford Engineering ,and back. Supercars ,everyday cars, and trucks are designed ,and engineered by normal creative people from around the world. You watch too much tv with that type of thinking.

(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) What did I miss here??? I was using a little known technique called " Sarcastic humor" you see, it's when someone makes an off the wall statement that most understand is rediculous and some may find humorous. Sorry if I offended with my lack of skill. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) Oh and I was referring to his friend who OWNS the car not his friend who BUILT the car (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/screwy.gif)

Hi Nick

It's your 914 buddy across town. Best wishes to you and family in 2006.

Maybe you will be the next Camilo Pardo?? Your pictures are the best & most professional ever posted on this site. I know you work automotive & probably on the cutting edge of new prototype design where you work. Tell us about yourself/work and what you do?? Give us motorheads a little insight what's happening in your world.

Tom
BTW
Been working on my photoshop work with your recent help. Can you improve this photo. I know you will make it better. Love those FORD GT's.
Did you see the article about Camilo Pardo about a week ago in the Det Newspaper. He lives like a rock star with lots of groupies in a Detroit Loft condo. Looks like a very interesting car guy.

Hi Tom,
Happy New Year to you,and your family. Tom your images look great! Photoshop is paying-off! All I could do is resize the image with a resolution of 72 pixels/inches,and use the unsharp mask at 0.3 pixel on radius with the amount set on 100%. I also added alittle saturation for more color. After all that it's just alittle defferent. Your images are great already.
I did read the article on Camilo, he is nonstop when it comes to designing cars, furniture, clothing, and working on painting of vintage race cars. Tom you will have to meet me one saturday at Stuart Tool on Maple RD. where the Porsche club meets. Across the the street of Stuart Tool is where te Ford GT's are being put together.

Hi Nick,

You are the master, I am just a student in training.

Thanks for the invite @ Stewart Tool. I will try to get there one of these days. I will let you know when I go so we can have our 914's there.

Yes, Camilo is getting big money$$ for his art & paintings, etc.

I guess they got the serious suspension problem fixed. IIRC there was a total recall for all GT's, which were "grounded" until the proper fix was engineered. IIRC it was the front A arms or something like that, would break and cause loss of control, not good at 100mph with one eye on the road and one through a digital camera (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)

Nice ride Steve.
The guy that owns the Motorsport Ranch here in Houston was taking people on scare rides on opening day. I have to say that it is one well put together Ford. The acceleration was fantastic.
I hope to see you at the 12 Hours. I'm probably going to fly in. Philip is picking up his new Cayman in February so I'll probably ride over with him. Your more than welcome to stay with us.

I'll tell ya Joe, I think I had it up to about 110 at one time and never got it out of 3rd gear. 95-99 felt like I was creaping along.
