Great pics, that 959 bodied car is Carl's old siverstate car. It should still be running the supercharged 3.6L, although its been rebuilt several times by now. Oh, I got the scoop on exactly what happened with the car. A nearly identical car had a fatal crash due to instability at speed, and they never could get that car properly sorted, mainly attributed to the fact that a 959 body is not all it takes to get 959 stability. To take it to 200mph was a serious throw of the dice. Thanks. |

Three things I learned this weekend.
1.) Don't punt an Alfa with your 911. 2.) Don't back your 914 into a workers station. 3.) My mechanic was happy because I had gained 3 spots and the car was running strong. (don't tell him that I fell back 5 more places after I did a spin halfway thru the race) Attached thumbnail(s)

Really great pictures! Thanks for the shot of the formula cars. The two front Formula Fords, numbers 40 and 115, are both Titan Mk 6s, what I used to drive. Thanks for the memories. Re your trans swap. Doesn't look like you have it down to the Le Mans Audi level. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Looks like a fun track. I plan on making any fall events. Jerry |
