If you can lock your wheels and don't have fading problems... you don't need bigger brakes
Unlike most people think, bigger brakes aint gonna shorten your stopping distance

cheers,

Jeff runs some kinda or 2 piece rotor with his volvo calipers. I think he may have had the hat fabbed at the machine shop.

I know I have pictures somewhere..

Ah here

Well I am sure Tn has some roads that require heavy braking ,but here in northern Indiana the roads are pretty flat! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Before I took my car apart my brakes were really spongy, this could be from worn rubber brake lines, improperly bled system or somthing I read in Grass Roots Motor Sports mag this issue.Floor pan flexing where the master cylinder is mounted, giving the impression of a spongy pedal......I am doing a V6 swap and just thought bigger engine=bigger brakes?.......

my exeperance is the car stops better than the stock brakes and they were rebuilt
I have 19MM M/C and tees for the brake lines made by Richard (in Texas $45.00) It is a bolt on assy. and needs only a washer to center it on the disc.

We build a small "tab" that hangs from the steel crossmember and supports the end of the MC. Works great. You are correct the stock MC does "move around" in the tub if that area is weak.
