Jake,
Why the hate towards anything watercooled? Maybe I missed your reasoning. Is it due to better performance and longer life?.
PS I visited your shop and was very impressed so please dont yell at me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Instead of stealth mode, why don't you roll in decoy mode? You could letter the trailer with false livery to throw the spies off track. Maybe red & yellow, so it's really obvious, like Der Winerschnitzel logos or something.

I was thinking of something more like Viagra! Schwing!!!

I just don't like watercooled engines, as a general rule... I try to praqctice what I preach and lead by example- thats why everything I drive daily is aircooled and moreover is Type 4 powered with the exception of the Pinzgauer that is aircooled and powered by Steyr- Puch.

Its just aircooled pride......thats all.

(And a bit of rebellion against cars made from recycled materials, produced half assed and are created to be disposable.)

Steyr-Puch?

Is that like my PUCH MOPED? (Steyr-Daimler)

That was air-cooled.

Do a search for "AJ Speedshift"....
The engine is now off the dyno, it passed the tests and made the power we were looking for in only two dyno runs!

You'll never believe the power numbers from an 8.6:1 CR engine!

I have video!

I only saw a head temp over 300F ONCE, this baby runs way cooler than stock!!

Is it ever enough? It's worse than cars for me, cause there easier to store.

A man can never have too many guns, knives or cars.... Cars are my life, guns are my hobby!

on a different note:
Today we completed the engine and the dyno work.. Tomorrow the engine, gearbox and SDS will be installed, hope to be driving by Sunday as we have an alignment scheduled Tuesday and a chassis dyno session on Wednesday!

Not bad for an engine built with most all used parts, except cam, lifters rods and bearings! The cylinders, pistons and rings are well used and i didn't even replace the rings as the gaps were perfect for Nitrous.

Nickies are an amazing thing :-)

Not bad for an 8.65:1 engine running on pump gas- THIS IS ALL MOTOR!! The 100 shot will be dumped on top of this!!!!
Attached Image

I have dyno video and pics but we do not have permission to post them, plus Art still has time to counter us with his set up.... You can hear the engine on the dyno on this Friday's 4th Dimension Radio program, it will be all about the "Blow it up!" project...

Yet again, 8.65:1- it's at 200HP by 5K RPM and makes power to 7,000 RPM. It should hold 8.5K revs with the spring package Len set us up with..

BTW- it made this power pulling the cooling fan belt driven oil pump making over 100 PSI oil pressure! This engine has 20+ more ponies in it, we don't need more for the competition and didn't want to wear it out on the dyno!

Hi Jake,

You are aware that it's pretty easy to fill in the missing numbers on the dyno chart based on the 50hp spacing of the lines? Just wanted to make sure you knew.

Very impressive numbers by the way!!

I can't wait to see the show, very cool project. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blowup.gif)
