HEY quick question....

Mentioned a few pages back I think that I was gonna be bring DVDs to sell. I have a big LCD screen with stand that I was gonna bring as well.

Do they have power in the parking lot? Maybe off the street lights or something? I didn't even think about this.

I kinda have to bring all that stuff and they don't have power for the big screen. I forget how big it is maybe 42 inches??? Picking it all up in the morning.

The Swap Page at CPA Region

The rules.

Ya can't sell food, no stakes inthe asphalt, THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY.

You can bring a generator, and all the Big Guys do, but be mindful of your neighbors.

The past couple of years (not this year) we have brought J's 17" HP laptop and run 'Le Mans' powered from an invertor and car battery. Works fine for the 3-4 hours we've done it.

but a laptop is not a 42" HDTV ... I can loan you my invertor but you'd be on your own for 12V. I think it's a 400W invertor...

No power.

For all of ya'll, if you are bringing a few things then that wont be a problem, but remember we have only 4 spots and they are mainly for hanging out, sitting, drinking coffee, and BSing.

I'll have some space available... D77
I have one space to park the vehicle (donno yet if it'll be the Outback or the Titan...) and two for the EZ-Up. Predicted temps in mid-80's so a bit of shade will be A Good Thing... Anyway - if you just need some place to park something, drop by. I can't do your haggling for you but I'll be glad to point a buyer in your direction...

Plans have yet changed again. The wife has a cold/flu and we may not make it.

If anyone is intereseted...we are looking for bumper top pads that need work. No broken or rusted frames. Call us if you find any at the swap and we will work something out with you. 727-483-0260.

Our space should be easy to find, just look for the MidEngine invasion banner.
At 6 feet long and 2 feet tall, I hope it stands out!

It won't.
There will be 1000 EZ-Ups on 10 acres.
What are the SPACE NUMBERS?

Yeah probably just bring a laptop. Would have been fun to bring the big screen though. I got LeMans and also have the victory by design series on my laptop already.

Paul got it all worked out. When you show up at the gate in your 914 with the group, just tell them you are with the 914club/world and European Imports (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

"What do I have to do so I can park it with the other tail draggers?"

Knee pads and a lack of a gag reflex will help (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Joe,
You can only sell parts in the vendor section. That is why they charge you for a spot. Sorry man.

Were in Madison Wi for the night. We ended up in a construction zone. The road was so rough that it shook my power lead apart and the car quit right in the construction zone. I had three Madison squad cars behind me before I could figure out where my flasher switch was. I managed to talk them into helping me push the car into a parking lot where I could work on it. I lucked out and found the problem right away and with the assistance of a young female officer and her flashlight we were back on the road in 15 minutes. See you all there.

Scottyb you are a wimp! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Nothing will scare ya more then breaking down in a car that no one has parts for hundreds of miles from home . . . .

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Especially when my wife is with me . . . (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

I just found one more thing scarier than the first problem. It happened again in down town Chicago! 60 mph traffic everyplace! you look for 5 lanes. I did a quck dash across 4 lanes of traffic and stopped on the side of the freeway barely wide enough for my car. This time it was the ignition wire. The effin roads are so rough the ride will shake your eye teeth loose! I had the car running in a mear minute but with semi's and cars ripping by close enough to rip your door handles off it seemed like an hour! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
