We had a great time... Thanks to all the folks in PA for setting it up.
Shipped a box that weighed 90+ pounds back to Texas via UPS on Sunday. Then we were off to Gettysburg. And to MikeZ.... Yes I was there. And I didn't know you were so obsessed with me. Betty and I are BOTH going to be really upset if you try to tongue kiss me the next time I am in California!! |

Had a great time. I really enjoyed the drive to Hershey with the East Coasters. That was by far the fastest I have driven on RT78 ever. It was really cool to caravan with 5 914's in a pack.
I've never seen so many Porsches and NARPs in one place. I walked many of the isles and still didn't see them all. It was easy to tell that the 914 owners have had the most fun with their cars as the 914s were the most modified and diverse looking vehicles there. 2 cars I wanted to see were there: Zach's and Rick Ollah's cars. After all of Zach's "fun" building his car, it was good to see it in one piece. I've never seen so much engine stuffed into so little space as Rick's car. Plus a real Porsche V8 looked really cool in the engine compartment. Hopefully next year I'll be able to bring my 71 914. |

This was by far the best Hershey swap meet I have been to. I have never seen as many 914's in one place at the same time. Oh yeah, there were some 'other' Porsche models there too ...... they were cool. It's amazing the '14 has lived sooo long with so much enthusiasm from their owners as was evident at the meet. Many mods ranging from mild to wild. I don't think there will ever be another Porsche like it.
Anyways a real big thanks to Rich, Zach,Mike for putting together a great event and this should be a yearly gathering for the teeners. |

is this map correct? where were we parked? jim Jim, Yes it is, although additional info may be helpful to you to better understand the shot you have here. It is a few years old. The road that we drove in on that wrapped around the Giant Center Arena now dips down into the golf course (now closed). The parking area inside has greatly expanded. So, we actually parked appx. where it says "W. Derry Road" (the most left of the two where it says that) across from an old Milton Hershey School farm house that appears as a dot on your shot. I've shown it clearer on my attachment to give you a better idea. Hopefully that helps Steve Miller |

Thanks you guys....twas a great time and was nice to meet many of you. Chaitra even admitted to not to dull a car event...that is saying alot! Also the auto cross was a blast...super fast course with an average speed (for me anyway) of 44 mph over 6 tenths of a mile. Not beat my chest but the sticky R6's put me @ 4th or 5th out of 94 cars.......:-) Now if I can heal my engine we'll be golden.....
Next year I do look forward to. |

AutoX was fun but 'lasted too fast' - only one heat of four runs for each of us. would have been nice to run two heats. |

Root - you left that red chair in Hershey? I can't (well I really can) freaking believe you left it behind again. You've tried to lose that chair at least twice already. ECC07 and the barbeque we had last summer. That chair has nine lives!
