I love Adriatic blue on 914's and I looked at several Adriatic 914-6's, but none worked out and I eventually purchased the tanerine six I currently own.

I saw it at the Geneva Concours d'Elegance in 2011 and it was beautiful!

Arrow Blue is a pretty obscure color! You can't find a swatch of it anywhere on the web to compare. They do look pretty close, and both are very much affected by the light they are photographed in. This is the same car in the following pics for example

The '509' adriatic is from a 356 site which has it almost like ancona, and I have seen 356's that look ancona that people say are adriatic, so it is possible. Our L50E is a VW color.

That is a sweet photo for sure and I love the stockness, even the stance.I like stock steelie hubcaps better is the only thing. The car looks like it is in France now, sold for 16,000 euros, though it is weird, they say on the site that they restored it at their shop in France, but that it was from CA,but the pics are obviously from CA and it is all nice! Could be it's not even the same car, but it does look the same, has the same black vent pillar, which I think is not stock.

I am one of the builders of that car! If you read my build thread you'll see where that car was the inspiration for me to own a 914. I worked for Bob Bennett for a while, had a ton of fun with that car... As far as Dave Conklin, hes a great friend of mine. He photographed the car for our customer to sell it. It was sold for a mere 40k... I knew that was the cost of the two engines and trans, the guy got the car for free. What was even more interesting was the fact that this car was originally owned by Bob and he sold it to the fella that we built it for so bob could start his company. It was very correct on GT build with the exception of the fuel filler. You'll see it in the Midwest running vintage supposedly. The guy who "stole" it said he would be running it in vintage 2013.

I was very upset about not being informed it was for sale until it was too late. I hope that one day I cross paths with it again and maybe have a chance to buy it. I have somewhere around 2000 hours in that car. my wife referred to her as my mistress at one time...

Is this Adriatic Blue? Exterior isnt stock, so only the trunks show the original color. Its a 1970 MY
