SO, I have a 914 V8 conversion project I've been working on for some time now. Started with no kids and no bills.... now I have two kids and just got divorced ha-ha so the car has been on hold for around a year, should be knocking it out soon.

any tips, comments, advice, hate messages, somebody that wants to buy it when im done?

I literally have no reason to keep this as it wont hold me and my two sons, leaving this as a "alone time" ride. Plan is to finish the build, and then find a buyer or trade for a crewcab chevy truck (Hopefully).

I'll put up more photos when I get around to taking some..... car is mostly sanded to metal at the moment... the random paint colors are from me spraying it to keep the metal that I exposed when I flared the fenders from rusting while it sat.

I wish you the best with the sale. Knowing projects are a little tough to sell. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. There are a few on here & the projects tend to stay on quite a while. Hopefully yours will be different & go quick

no worries, no rush to sell.... I'll be working to complete it in the meantime. I just figured I would at least get it out there for the world to see.

UPDATE

Engine Installed - 1/28/15

Finish connections and exhaust this weekend.

Engine hooked up and running. First firing last night, straight headers, no exhaust yet.

First drive last night. No seats no trunk lid no roof. Ran very well I do need a bit of carb tuning. Hoping to be buttoned up tonight and ready for body and paint

Carb tuning 99% complete, car runs beautifully.

Shifter adjustment tonight, then I'm on to bodywork & paint. more photos to come once I get some work done.

Nice project. I've been considering a similar project myself. I'll be tracking this thread for sure.

Body completely sanded to bare steel over the weekend. Rear air dam and driver side rocker panel installed. Passenger rocker going on this week,

Dent removal started last night, should be primed by the end of the week.

Once body is good and primer is on, I plan to reassemble the trim & interior to drive and have some fun!! . car will officially be FOR SALE (on CraigsList and an EBAY auction) then as a finished build. Sans paint of course. If it sits long enough I will get paint done myself, a color of my own choosing.

First coats of high build primer done last night. Block sanding and touch up through the week. Final Primer and reassembly this weekend. HOPEFULLY.....
