In addition to the one already there, I added a 2nd 1mm washer under the pivot ball.

With tranny mounted to engine, looks like about 1/2" on the engine side if throw out bearing is touching pressure plate. About an inch on the other side.

Good or do I need another washer or thicker washer?

If 2mm was removed from the face of the flywheel, then you should be okay. If I were installing this, i would be threading the clutch cable through the trunion and and see how much thread adjustability exists. You should have a primary nut and a secondary nut to lock down the nut and flat washer that contacts the face of the trunion. Sorry,I did not realize you have not yet installed the assembly to the chassis. I believe my first statement is still accurate.

Unfortunately, I do not know how much was taken off when the flywheel was refaced. They did not tell me, I did not ask. Lesson learned for the future.

Right now tranny and engine are still out of the car. Just checking everything beforehand. The PP clucth replacement article says 1/2" play in the arm is what you are shooting for so hopefully that is correct.

I believe that 1/2" guideline in the pelican write up is conservative. My car had about 3/4" of play with the cable off. And plenty of thread left to adjust with a few of those 1/4" spacers before the nuts. try mounting it up and see. Just leave the CV bolts for last when you're sure its all good.

In another thread I was someone saying that 1/4" from engine to arm is ideal. This, I have now heard 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4. Is there a factory spec?

Interesting, I never measured it that way.

For me, about 1/4-1/8 inch before it hits the tranny is good to go.
Maybe take a lever and push it all the way till it hits, see if you can turn the tranny with no drag from the engine? Or visa versa...
