Looking for the weights of a 915 and G50 transmissions. Also need the weight of a 993 (air cooled) 3.6-liter motor.

Much thanks.

I have seen numbers between 98 to 119 depending of if dry or with brakes and fluids for the 915

And between 155 lbs wet for a 5-speed G50 and 158 for the 6 speed, but that was dry weight.

I believe that the 993 engine came out in 96 not 87.
In 87, to my knowledge it was still 3.2. Some folks get the 964 3.6 mixed up with the 96 Vram 3.6 . The last generation of air cooled was the 3.6 vram ( 96 -98)
Correct me if I'm wrong...if I had to take a guess, I would say 450 lbs dry. The additional weights came via all those extra components on the top of engine and the large vram.
Best is to post your question on the Bird site.

I think he mis-typed and meant 1997. smile.gif

Was that fully dressed? I think these weights are fully dressed and in my experience its the ancillaries which really add up.
