Really depends on your personality. I've had both the 494 and the 86a variants of Jake's cams. The 494 has strong midrange and is probably what I would steer you towards. The 86a has better high rpm performance (which is what I'm running now for autocross).
I daily drove the 494 variant for years and it was great.

The 494 is essentially Jake's 9530. So now the question is.... 494 or 9530? I like the super cam kit type 4 offers. Didn't see a comp kit for the 494. Leaning towards the 9530 unless somebody talks me out of it before Monday.

I have the 9530 and love it in my 2056. Make SURE - POSITIVE - 100% that you use the right lifters matched to the cam. If you get the 9530, get lifters at the same time from the same vendor for that cam.
The only way around this is to use the ceramic lifters, IF you can find a set (and I'm not selling mine). Zach
