Replacement part is Standard Motor Parts FJ 67.

Hi Sixer:
Thanks much for your reply!
I previously purchased a Standard Motor Parts FJ67 injector. The injector I received was from Intermotor (SMP FJ67.) I installed it but the electrical connection would not slide into the housing. Also, I noticed that the injector end was about 1/4" shorter and there were 3 sprayers at the tip, not 1 that I have on my original injector.
I looked on eBay, Amazon, etc but all of the Standard Motor Parts injectors seem to be identical to the one I received from Intermotors.
I did see an injector manufactured by G.P. Sorensen (Part # 800 1061N) on AutoZone's website that looked the same but the part is no longer available and I have not been able to locate another distributor.
I also heard from a rebuilder that Lucas makes a good replacement but don't have a part number. The rebuilder also said that Air Tex makes an acceptable injector but not as good as Lucas in his opinion.
I am at a loss at this point.
Help!!!

Hi Euro and thanks for your reply.

Please see my response to Sixer. I looked on Rock Auto and the part appears to be the Intermotor injector by Standard Motor Parts with the FJ67 SKU. It doesn't work with my electrical connection.
Gaaaaaa!
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Ron

Ron, since I'm not sure what your particular situation is, lemme ask some questions.

1. Are you missing an injector? ... or ...
2. Do you have one that's leaking? ... or ...
3. Do you need another one because one of them stopped working?

The reason I ask, if it's the later, have you thought about sending it (or all of them) out to a refurbishing company?

The website photos show the Standard Motor Parts FJ 67 as a D-Jet injector, which is the correct style and connector for a 74 2.0L.

So what injection do you have on that motor...L-Jet? Posting photos of your harness connector and the injector you received would be helpful.

Hi and thanks for your reply.
My current injector is leaking. It works but gas is getting into the engine compartment. I changed the inner a d outer seals and fuel line but still have a leak so assume it is the onjector.
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Jeff:
Thanks for your help. Here are two photos. Hope they help. I switched out the inner and outer seals and fuel line but still have a leak. Not sure where it is coming from though.
I appreciate your help.

Those are a different part number and probabky for 1975-76 2.0l engines. I think the flow rate is different.
