The 75-76 body brackets were different. Some people drill holes through the trunk and nolt them in due to the diffuculity of welding upside down on a car with the drive train installed.

Thanks for the responses. Good to know about sourcing option as well.
Any downside to just drilling the trunk to mount via welding from up top? @mb911 I can see where that would be a lot easier.

You could plug weld from the top nothing wrong with that but would need multiple plug welds
