Hi all,

Anyone know where I can find this exact style logo? I'm not a fan of the factory style. Thanks in advance for any help.
Chris H.
914 Rubber makes them.

My understanding, tell me if I'm wrong, is that the side decals came on the appearance cars. If one is added to a non-appearance car, will it help or hurt the resale value?

914 Rubber makes them.

Yes 914rubber has what appears to be the factory original LE style. I personally think this version looks better.

I'm not 100% sure, but from what I understand they only came on the limited edition car's. The orange 914 pictured has the original factory style. They are all very similar only slight differences.Click to view attachment

@Mikey914

914Rubber is very accommodating when they can be. If they make these themselves maybe they can change the font and style for you.

Isn't that a 911 style decal?

Just about any, or all of the online retailers sell them. Stoddard, 914 Rubber, etc., etc., etc.

@914e

I think your right I have only seen this style on 911's. I am pretty sure they will work on the 914's since the lenghts are about the same.
Steve
Auto Atlanta also sells them

They all carry the same LE style. I may just stick with the LE style simce they are very close.
Literati914
These are referred to as “positive” side stripe decals and are very common on 914s (as well as 911s)… the LE style are referred to as “negative” stripes, just fyi.

not so. at least for negative side stripes in 74.
a lot of the cars in 74/75 had them - from the dealer new.

positive ones might be a different story.
were earlier version.
some sixes had those originally.
i am pretty sure you could get them as a dealer option not necessarily tied to appearance group or LE or anything else.

Dealer added "option", VW of NA had all kinds of dealer goodies they would try to sell you. Radios, antennas, side scripts, little chrome (aluminum) trim items, floor mats, ski racks, etc, etc.
dr914@autoatlanta.com
we get them from the company that originally made them for VW of america

The silver positive ones were a batch we did up. I have them in stock, availavle in White silver and black. We also have the LE style in silver too.

Thanks for the help World! George and Mark have exactly what I am looking for. I really like the way they look on a 914.
