First two pics show a silver car with black interior and Mahle wheels. Then the there's a pic of what looks like marathon blue metallic over tan interior with 4-lug Fuchs. What's going on here?

I agree in that picture it does look blue, but it is silver and it is the same car. 4 lug Mahle wheels. i just posted another picture showing the car from the side.

I agree. Looks like 2.0 Fuchs on the “blue” car. Also don’t see a passenger side mirror on the blue car.
Pics can turn out weird but I would hope anyone buying the car would see it in person before sending money.

Those are two different cars...

Explain the sail panels!

I prefer sails same color as the car.

The silver car looks fine!

Yea, I missed the sail panels. I could see the seller saying that he made a mistake and included a pic of another 914 with his. But to say they are the same car and have it as his first post…

Looks like a really nice car! If I didn't already have 4 I would be all over this one.

Unimportant side note: although it does look Marathon Blue, I think the random 914 photo might be rnellum's former Ice Green Metallic car. That thing was nearly perfect. Search "Calypso restoration" if interested.

Those were two different cars that were originally posted. Different color exterior and interior, among other things as previously mentioned. Seller changed the bottom picture in the last day or so.
Buyer beware.

Since the seller changed the last photo to the same silver car since getting called out, this is the car he had originally posted as the last photo in his post. Chris H is right, it absolutely was this ice green metallic car with tan interior and 2.0 Fuchs. I didn't recognize the color since it's not a standard 914 color. Not this pic, but it was definitely this car that he posted. Buyer beware.

Very close to me. In touch with him and will check it out early next week. Looks nice.

Checked it out this morning. Car is exactly as described - a very nice driver, I'd say Category 2. Price is about right IMHO. Respray is nice though not concours. Much of the major work is done, mostly by the owner. Produced Sept 11, 1973, so a very early 74. Has Appearance Group console and steering wheel (but not the Fuchs alloy wheels). Forgot to check for the two-tone horn.

Did you check out the silver car or the green car? poke.gif
