Am proud owner of a very rare but worthless, VW-Bosch part #022906209, in black nylon no less! I actually have a couple of these. Yee-ha! A similar part was made by Amp in white nylon, and the ubiquitous common part with the strap handle is #022906209A.

Or better, who has collections like 500+ nos headlight motors or front wheel bearing covers, proof that you’ve got the sickness, and it’s bad.

Post what rare, worthless 914 parts you have to amuse us? No damaged, broken parts please…

But i will with this one. NOS upper brake handle for folding early hand brake handle.

But i have a buyer who has a lower part.
Why would Porsche offer the parts separately without the rivet?

NOS rear damper jounce bumper with the step washer molded into the jounce bumper. One piece only and due to age probably wouldn’t last long if used assuming I could even find another to have a pair.

Purchased so that I can measure its rate to compare later on to the jounce bumpers that are actually available in the aftermarket.

Both of the parts you need are on Ebay. AA has the bottom of ebrake handle and 914LTDs has rear damper.

This jounce bumper did come from Brad.

Meant to post this useless part the other day.. might figure some way of using it as a bike mount

This Electromotive is truly worthless because it has failed. I am hoping someone on here has one of these in their parts pile - one that works, of course.

Wasn't there a strange rectangular worthless piece of plastic that sat on top of the battery?

Can't remember 100% if it was 914s that came with them nor what it was for. Don't have a NOS one, but somewhere in the inventory there should be a used one.

In the virtually worthless category is the so called windshield washer bottle on the earlier pneumatic versions. It should be called the spare tire deflation mechanism.

If you ever noticed on the access cover at the rear of center tunnel just below the center panel there is a hole .... why? it should have a small clip to retain wiring.

There was! And I have one on my restored concours-winning LE because it was original to my car, but mine was in a box of spare parts that came with the car. It was useless, kind of a rectangle of black rubbery waffle-grained ABS plastic with square cutouts at two corners where the battery terminals were. These were probably discarded with car's first battery change. A factory recall in 1977 replaced this with a large, flat, smooth plastic cover over the whole top of the battery.

Yes, my original 73 came with a black plastic battery cover, it didn't fit later battery tops so I stashed it away somewhere. Useless device!

That piece looks to be back panel support in late 75-76 rear trunk panel. You need 2 lol.

I accumulated a ton of stuff over 45 years and had quite a job when we moved from our acreage to a lot smaller place in AZ 9 years ago. Offered a lot of stuff free to Brad M from Peoria but he didn't want it.
Saved some of the smaller stuff but it was hard to throw a lot in the dumpster but I eventually did it... and it wasn't easy!!
