When I took my turn signal switch out to replace it, I had some wires that came out with it. Looks like the washer switch has been upgraded to an electrical type pump. The wires were unterminated. I need some small connectors to go though the steering housing so I can disconnect them the next time I have to replace either switch. The turn signal has already been replaced at least once, it did not have a stock one in it any more.

Should I just used small insulated spade lugs or is there a more elegant solution for two wire connections to go through the housing?

I'm a big fan of using Deutsch connectors for non-OEM connections.

While true Deutsch are top notch, they require a special barrel crimper. However, there are good-quality connectors that use connectors that leverage common crimpers that work well. Example:

I'll have to figure out if one of those will fit through the opening in the column.

For your ‘74 car? It should have a plastic female multi pin connector housing on the main harness that mates with the window wiper switch.

This is for a window washer motor mod that someone did. I am just trying to hook it up. The other connections are stock.

Kicked the can down the road for a little while. I added some wire with butt splices and marked it and rolled it up. Too many more important projects right now. Wasn't ready to do the whole job yet.
