Has anyone ever measured the distance from the top of the throttle body to the rain tray? I want to start fabricating an intake but want to make sure it wont hit anthing.

Allan: Hi. You made curious. Its rianing so I couldnt take anything apart. Buty from the base of the manifold at the bottom of the Throttel body to the top of the trunk lid is 10 inches, The engine lid with rain tray is 4 inhces thick at that point. 6 inches with the body, not much room. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) I don't know if you could get a Tee and two filters under it. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

6 inches. Hhmm, not much room there. I've seen aftermarket intakes but don't remember if the rain tray was removed. This will be interesting.
Thanks Joe |
