So, from what I can tell, you can buy different springs with ironically shorter length for higher spring rate (I would have thought a lower rate would let the car sink down farther at rest.
Now Bilestein has a snap ring set up. Which seems pretty nice. Any way to make the perch adjust on the original Boge? OR I would settle for a way to set an aluminum shock collar so it starts towards the bottom of the shock. Ideas? Thanks again folks. Learning to tig, learning to zinc plate with chromate sauce, trying to anodize. Such fun? Not driving anything but the '94 escort wagon though. I think I will head south next month. |

I do not see any easy way to make Boge shocks with adjustable perch height. They have bumps on the shock to locate the perch. The perches are unique to them.

When I pulled mine apart to clean up and paint, there were pipe female couplers installed on top of the shock so that the ride height was 1-3/8"higher. I Removed them but have not had the motor back in yet to see if ride height is affected.
