Looks great, I always loved the Spitfire and the GT6, faster than an MGB-GT too. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

Nice car. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) I really like it in yellow. Are those minilite wheels?
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/agree.gif) Thats one of the best parts of all the Triumphs I have seen (and the only goof part of some other english cars) Again for prosperity . . . Really nice car (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Thanks for the pictures (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) |

Those are "Minator" which are very similar in that they are painted aluminum like Minilites. Panasports are nicer due to the machined/polished with painted centers but they are pricey. I am running Dunlops and they stick real nice...now I have them on my 14. |

Nice, I always liked those.
There was a guy with a silver one that cleaned up every time he showed at the autocross about 5 years ago. Everybody was always wondering what it was. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif) |

That is one sweet GT6. A good friend in college had a '69 model I believe. He and his dad rebuilt it while he was in high school. Painted it Orange - very similar to the Signal Orange on the teener I now have.
What's the history on yours - have you just completed a ground up restoration or a PO had that done. It's looks awesome. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) |

i saw a car in traffic the other day that kinda looked like a real square 914 and it said Bertone on the b pillar, what would that be? I think it would be this car..a fiat Kinda looks like they tried to copy but did a bad job.

I did "rolling resto". Did the mechanicals and suspension [all new poly busings, ball joint, coils, billstines, brakes, etc] and then took it to a local painter. I did the strip down to bare metal and he painted/polished the car. Heres the car in bare metal: |

I assumed on all four (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) Question: How did you strip the car to metal? |
