So I'm tearing into this tribute car and decided I am never going to use this under dash AC unit. I was able to get it out, but I am not sure what these wires are. I would like to remove them as they were hooked to the unit, but it looks like they go all over the place. Does anyone know what each wire represents and where it terminates so I can remove there as opposed to cut and tuck?
Looks to be 4 wires in total. Also are these big AC paper weights worth anything to anyone? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/live.staticflickr.com-18763-1591792563.1.jpg) |

None of those look standard. That connector almost looks like a plug for trailer lights. Trace back to where any wires might tie into the original wires and remove them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I recon pos neg and comp on/off.
The underdash unit has value being period correct and not much different than the current chinese stuff. The comp and condenser usually get replaced with more modern (improved) parts. The comp mounting brackets/pulley have value too. |
