my buddy just bought an 83 944 with A/T and I can't for the life of me find the dipstick to check the transmission fluid. is there one? and where?
and where do you fill it? thanks in advance............. |

No dibstick in any trani AFAIK... just a plug hole on the side that you put your finger in to check.... |

how do you check fluid level on an auto? |

Almost every automatic trans has a dipstick. In the case of the 944, there is a supply tank. The oil level should be between the marks on the tank when hot and idling. |
