As part of my /6 restoration, I am re-doing the whole wiring. I'm now looking at the steering column and associated wiring. I have 2 wiper switches, both the correct part number:

The problem is the connector at the end of the little bundle, at the right in this picture:

I can find nothing in the main wiring harness that would connect to this plug. The wiring diagram that I have shows both the wiper and the blinker switches as one item, and does'nt really help. I looked at the PET parts diagrams, and can't find help there either.
Does anybody know what it is that I am missing, or can't figure out ? Thanks |

The steering colum wiper lead plugs into a bulkhead receptacle, that comes right from the -6 wiper motor.
914-6 only wiper motor. |

OK,
I knew there was something I did'nt understand ! I believe I have a /6 wiper motor, in one of the boxes, so that should not be a problem. I'll go look and let you know. Thanks |

The plug on the wiper motor looks like the plug for a round relay. It fits in the hole where the windshield washer hoses come through the bulkhead on the /4.
The harness on the six will only have a lead for the power to the wiper motor, nothing else. |

I have found a /6 wiper motor, and I now remember that Jon Lowe had said it was different, although I could not remember why.
Here's a picture, in case it's of interest to anyone. The special lead is the one that's a little higher. There's a big rubber grommet/fitting so it can be fixed to the bulkhead. Attached image(s) |
