Last year, at the end of the season, one of my Weber's blew out a plug (i think for the float). Does anyone know of a good shop in Chicago that works on old weber carbs? 44 IDF's

I say order the kit from aircooled. I havent run into anyone yet worth a (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/stromberg.gif) when it comes to Webers. I know a few places to get parts but not to work on them. You could also try MoFoCo. for parts. Rebuilding a carb is tedious but not espcially hard if you are careful.

Any rebuild kit will NOT have internal plugs in the kit.
Send that carb to Art Thraen at Aircooled Engineering in Salt Lake city. Guess work done, and his prices are VERY good. |
