Hi All,
I can get the rear suspension of an 76 Carrera with the alloy trailing arms.
Question can I make the brake set up work on my 74 914 to have the better brakes and the handbrake set up ??
Much appreciated.

What Joe said?

I'm not a fan of the later (74+) assemblies as they don't have the proper bolt pattern. The early handbrake assemblies do. The later ones are a little wider to accomodate the larger bearings.

It can be done but you'll have to elongate the holes.

Calipers will bolt on but they'll need 5mm spacers under the ears and best to get longer bolts now.

Make sure you address the entire system (fronts, rears, master cylinder) and I would caution against removing the factory proportioning valve.

Good luck.
