Hi everyone this would be my first post, unfortunatelly its a sad one i had my 1975 914 2.0 for almost a year and i was happy as hell, sadly the engine died, it would be more expensive to fix it than to buy a new one, i use the car as a daily driver because i like it more than my daily driver......this car is basically for autocross purposes...i was thinking on buying a type 4 engine online with 2300 or 2200 cc does anybody have one...do you have any sugestions where to buy one??? what should i do??? im not interested in any of the subaru or v8 convertions thanks.... |

You can get 2.2L and 2.3L Type IV motors cheaper than Jake by shopping other places. But (depending on exactly where you go) chances are pretty steep that you'll spend more overall tearing down the junk those people send you and re-doing it right.
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Search for whichever companies you find. Some of them have, umm, less than stellar reputations. (Hint: Import Motor, anything having to do with Steve Stromberg.) --DD |
