Cleaned, media blasted, primed and painted with Poline. I just coudn't put a nasty looking part in my car. I don't plan on driving it hard enough to worry about cooling issues. The color in the photo (at least on my screen) shows it kind of grey, but its black. |

RIch (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) You should also remove the paint where the starter is mounted,at at all bolts on the transmission used for a GROUND.,(the GROUND STRAP) otherwise the starter will give you some problems. A seperate GROUND for the Engine could be necessary. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) |

Good ... Now when you run over someone they will notice you have a nice clean tranny that's painted.
Stop and ask them for their opinion. |

I've been around paints a looooong time but I confess I've missed "poline"? Is that a heat eliminating paint or epoxy? or?

It's spelled Polane....
"POLANE" is a trade name for a series of coatings manufactured by Sherwin-Williams. The POLANE family of coating includes epoxies, polyurethanes, and others... It's a tough as heck paint that I saw used for high speed industrial products such as printers...... |

Stripping the paint off yer car body and polishing the steel bodywork to a brilliant shine..... Looks great for awhile...... I've got no rear valance on the car, and the conversion lowered the transaxel almost 3", so it's actua[[y quite visable. Clear-coated, it has held up well. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Sorry Billy, did'nt mean to hijack Your thread. |
