Well - here it is a cheap way to redo the hell hole or rusted out area under the battery tray. You will have to form the pieces to fit - pieces are flat to keep costs and shipping to a min. You will need a vice or some means of putting the 90 degree bends into the parts, you will need to work these to fit and you will need to weld these in. If you are looking for drop in pieces go to RD. If you want to work a little and save some $ then here you are.

There are four pieces to this
1. Firewall piece - 20G
2. top of long piece - 16G
3. Inner wheelhouse piece - 20G
4. top of engine shelf - 20G

Price - please see http://www.engmanparts.com

Mark could make Ice Cubes and they'd be the best Ice Cubes you've ever had.

I can't vouch for the kit, but I CAN vouch for the man, and his products. A+ stuff here...

Is there anyway you can show a picture with outlines where each
piece goes? I looked at the repair/install thread over and over but I
still can't place where all the pieces go.

I'll be ordering one of these in the coming months to fix the beater 914.

As soon as I get the garage cleaned out so I can get a car in it. Among other things... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif)

How hard is it to bend the pieces into shape?

Not hard. Use a vice/hammer or wood / hammer or vice grips on the hard 90 deg bends. The more gentle bends you can use about anything - I usually do something with my leg.

Just received my kit today so looking forward to putting it in over the next month. Gotta give Engman props. Kit looks good and he was excellent to work with. Product was ordered and received within a week.

Hey Mark,
might be hittin ya up again as my Hell Hole looks pretty much identical to that picture with the outlines you posted.

If im paying a welder to fix that area, would it be cheaper to order your kit and have him install it or just tell him to "get what he needs" and fix it?

your stiffening kit will be going in soon too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Thanks,
-Steve

As I stated in my first post, these will need to be worked to some degree to fit.

If you want drop in pieces, go to restoration design or AA. But be prepared to spend some cash.

It all depends upon who is doing the work. Check with them first.
