I ordered a set of Boxster axles. The come complete to the splined stub. Lets see if any of these parts will offer another option. I used 993 axles with the 6-aoewd.transmission. They fit into the 911 hubs, and the bolted to the transmission with no issues. 944 front hubs won't work on a 914. No bearings available and the offset is completely wrong. @montreal914 maybe your 911axles will work. wiuld need th compare the lenght. |

It was cheaper to purchase complete Boxster axles than it was to purchase one CV Joint. Because they come complete I wanted to see what the splined ends, diameter and length look like also. I still have 914-4 drilled read hubs. Boxster inboard & 914-4 outboard. I will end up with a combo of some sort. I was thinking if the Boxster axle is larger and possibly longer in diameter and length I could have it re-splined. |
