BTW, does anyone know anything about that last car (green & yellow)? Year/model/anything? It looks fun. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
And like something I'm certain not to fit in... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) -Steve |

Steve - I used to take my kids to the Miramar & El Toro airshows every year, & got in the habit of keeping those little yellow foam ear protectors in all cars' glove boxes. After awhile they both stopped using them & enjoyed the racket! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Just grab a few extra 2 paks & stick them in your cars - free at the airshows & inexpensive at the pilot shops - try near you, maybe by Gilespie Field. Brant - I went Sat & Sun, saw your car in the pits Sat & racing Sun., & got many of the same pix, but missed you in person. Looked like you had a fun run racing, as well as drooling through the pits! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif) For those who haven't been to the Coronado Speedfest, it's a huge car show, vintage races, airshow, naval ships tour, etc. all rolled into one! The best bart is that us "regular non-racing folks" can walk the pits & get as up close & personal to the cars, drivers, crews & rigs in the pits, as Brant's pix show. Highly recommended for a reasonable admission $25 1 day or $35 Sat/Sun if purchased in advance online, & IIRC most $$s go to charity anyway. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) -Steve Steve, here are some details about the green brabham formula car. It is a 1969 brabham BT29. I was able to pull specs for that year, and they raced in formula B. They had 1600cc lotus twin cam engines and about 185hp matched to a Hewland 5 speed trans. brant |
