I drove it 5 hours to Seattle. Last night i installed ingmans new fuse board upgrade. Man that was easy. So nice to not have to screw with those old crappy fuses. Now i just need to get another one for my v8 conversion..

I'll install my Engman fuse panel when I remove the driver seat to install a new pull handle. Glad to hear it's an easy job (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Looking great John. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

I did some interior work...

First I had to modify the shift plate:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net-1110-1339359380.1.jpg)

Then I tacked it in place because I wanted it under the carpet:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net-1110-1339359381.2.jpg)

Then I started laying felt:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net-1110-1339359381.3.jpg)

I like the look of the plate hidden under the felt:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net-1110-1339359382.4.jpg)

I put the console and the heater lever on top of the felt:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net-1110-1339359382.5.jpg)

Next, felt on the longs. Thanks Ferg for the last remaining heater hose:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net-1110-1339359382.6.jpg)

GT rubber mats in place:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net-1110-1339359382.7.jpg)

Setting contact adhesive boundaries while laying felt:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net-1110-1339359382.8.jpg)

Basically done. Seats are in. I need to make a few mats for behind the seats and get the roll bar installed:
(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net-1110-1339359383.9.jpg)

Hung my rear suspension, installed side and rear glass, ran a majority of my wiring harness, Seatbelt bar, odds and ends bolted on.
Front suspension pending tie rods and tightening.
Robert came by and installed the mega squirt harness and did final measures on othe engine electronics.
Next weekend final cradle for motor and final test fit before powder coating.

I drove it to work today too.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) One week on the road after 5 years or so of off and on resto and not one leak or hitch! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Now I think that I am going to kick it up a notch and start driving her like she was meant to be driven. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sheeplove.gif)

For $12 and super easy clean up, this stuff did a respectable job cleaning the built up oil stains on my garage floor. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

Had my little "shifter linkage bushing replacement adventure" Saturday, as documented over in this thread: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=187814

Working better than before, despite being kludged up. At least now I know what needs to be done, that it isn't fixing the other issue, and that I should focus on rebuilding/replacing the half shafts first anyway...

Stopped by Joe Sharp's on Sunday to repair his LM-1. One of his neighbors had this nifty 'FREE' workbench sitting at the curb.
I snagged it and hauled it to the house ... screwed some wheels to the bottom this morning (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Also, wire brushed and primed some pieces of 'angle iron' for the blast cabinet's dolly. Why do they call it iron?, it's steel (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Attached Image

Blasted and primed some '6' tin parts

Attached Image

... and put a deposit on this (7'x16' with a 3' v-nose) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)

Should be delivered on Saturday (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif)
