it turns out its weeping out of the rear-right rubber break-line! Not the connection, but along the rubber line itself! That's why i like the rubber OEM lines!!! They let you know they are about to fail. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) |

I ordered a loop carpet kit (WAYYYY PreMature but I don't care (IMG:style_emoticons/default/KMA.gif) )
Also ordered the inner door sill and long repair parts. Have the hell hole parts. Should be dragging the car back home this weekend to start undoing what time and neglect from the PO have done. Hoping to have it drivable before the end of winter. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) |

January 1st- Pull engine and trans....Check!
January 2nd- Completely tear down engine...Check! January 3rd- Drop of case and heads to machine shop for inspection...Check! I guess this is the time of the year to get to your local machine shop. He said my stuff will be done in 2 weeks! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif) Full head rebuild and case gone through! Wow, I guess everyone else spent there money on Christmas stuff. I told the wife this is her present to me. She likes sales so I told her that since I pulled and disassembled the motor it was like getting 20% off. She liked that! I dropped my gas tank off at the radiator shop to be boiled out, cleaned and lined. It's not too bad for 39 yrs old, but that rust/varnish/gunk is what clogged my filter. Has anybody else done this recently? Just wondering what the going rate (range) is. It's the rubber liquid that dries to a firm rubbery coating.
hopefully it didn't get into the carb and screw things up too bad. Attached image(s) |

Started refurbing the tail light socket of a donor fender so that I can cut out a good whole section and graft into my driver's fender. Check out the gnarly braze patch and the ball peen hammer blows I found under loads of filler. Here is what I started today.
Remove old 4 lug suspension and get new 5 lug suspension finished! I am busy the rest of the week so I will have to wait until next week to put it back together with my 16x6 fuchs for the front and 16x7's for the rear! Attached thumbnail(s) |

in my preparation for going to a dry sump system i had to redo my crank case breather set up. i came across this baffled breather box. the picture i took sucks, but its slim and fit nice tight in the firewall hump. which also allowed me to shorten and tidy up my hose routing.
