Brought the ‘73 home from the paint shop. Engine/transaxle, glass, gas tank, interior, rockers, etc. out paint job. Now the “fun” to put it all back together begins. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Getting ready to cut some more aluminum for the area above the transmission up to the old firewall.

As you can see the patterns are done. Can't get it in one piece and it needs some bracing. It's good that there are 2 elevations at this point. It gives me a chance to stack the sheets and sneak in a piece of extrusion.

Got our Alfa spider running well after a carb rebuild. Now I get my pick of four (4) 914's to dig into.

And yes, very nice green

Both speedo lights have been burnt out for a while. I usually only remember
when driving at night and don't want a speeding ticket. Found some in the
basement parts stash and contorted myself enough to install them.

Took her for a ride to Davis for a cup of coffee with my car-freak cousin Phil. Sitting and idling while I get my coat. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Getting closer. Prepped and sprayed undercoating and made progress on rear bumper and valence.

Received my new axles from Dutchman Motorsports. Precise and accurate machining. Top one being the template I sent to them for Measurements. Include your CV inner hubs for them to test fit for quality control.

She has assumed the position.
Two shipments of gaskets and fuel rubber to safely wake her up after roughly 20 years of slumber….

I've been chasing a lean/hot issue on my 2.0L with DJet. Last week I changed out the fuel filter which looked like the original and was black on the inside. I was chatting with a friend and they mentioned the screen on the gas tank might be dirty. So I pulled the gas tank today and sure enough that screen was filthy! It was intact though and cleaned up nicely.

Hopefully I'll put the hood on tomorrow with the help of my wife and test drive it.
