I've been chasing a lean/hot issue on my 2.0L with DJet. Last week I changed out the fuel filter which looked like the original and was black on the inside. I was chatting with a friend and they mentioned the screen on the gas tank might be dirty. So I pulled the gas tank today and sure enough that screen was filthy! It was intact though and cleaned up nicely.

Hopefully I'll put the hood on tomorrow with the help of my wife and test drive it.

I got tired of fooling with that internal sock filter and eliminated it, replaced with a filter between tank and pump when I moved pump to the front, then another filter after the pump.

Got ready for tapping the threads in the holes of the new panels. Pick up the hardware tomorrow and I can finish this up then.
Gosh I like Caleco clips.

Finished the front radiator ducting and mounting, relay/fuse box, and did some wiring on this water cooler project. Somehow made it look somewhat like a fancy kitchen...

Replaced fuel sender, and replaced throttle cable after it broke 2 miles from my house. Did the hand throttle trick with the cable over the roll bar to get home to change it out.

I just refurbished a set of early bumpers in metallic gray. the rear was pretty banged up and twisted but it's presentable now. I shaved the tow hook access hole. The front is a GT modified from @mb911

After color sanding and buffing, they are going on my white 914 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

Cars and coffee in old town Scottsdale this AM. Great turn out with perfect weather. Took the '73 and got there early so got a good spot. Followed a nice all original '68 912 with one owner family history.
And even a 959!Attached Image

I spent most of the day trying to learn Fusion 360 so I can design brackets for my ITB setup.

Attached Image

Not too bad for a guy who up until now used CAD (Cardboard Aided Modeling).

If anyone knows how to get Fusion 360 to print to scale, let me know. I need to 2D print it and glue it to a sheet of plastic to test fit it.

Why would I do that? Because I am not 100% confident in my knowledge of Fusion 360. So I want to verify it before I send it off to be cut in aluminum.

Very cool!

@ClayPerrine

I saw this video, it might help… looks like there is a scale setting in the print driver.

What motor are the carburetors from? They look good, but are missing numbers for 9146 versions.

Drove down to the lake to check on the boat. Ran great. Very happy how the car cruises and performs well. Changing exhaust out soon.

With the help of @mm1 we got the frunk nearly done on my 71. Left to do is the expansion tank and fuel filler, some carpet and the spare and I can move further rearward.

The carbs are for our 69 911S 2.0 motor that we rebuilt and had these tuned to match. I cannot wait to hear how they sound.

I think that they may be an old “6” number … 40IDTP3C1
