Picked up a Xmas present for the 914n6, because, you know, never ending project...

Just got nice Christmas present from George - thank you for the great price for 24 hours George.

I had patched up my original exhaust - it cat had been pulverized and emptied - and it actually sounded great - so I expect this to sound as good or better.

First stainless exhaust within my budget......

Just need to weld an O2 bung in it like I had in my old one so I can tune with my AFR.

@76-914 I plan to upgrade from the 901 for all the usual reasons. I grabbed a TY758 with a shredded first gear 4 years ago. Mockups went well so when this one showed up for $50 I took it. It will be a while before I get to it.

Dropped the engine for the first time as I start to dig into my winter projects. It was very satisfying.

The removal went very well - thanks to I Karr (video), D Brownridge (article- cannot find link just now), W Dempsey (Pelican Parts article) and C Foley (Tangerine Racing engine removal plate).

The surprise was a torn off transmission mounting point (still on the transmission in the second picture). Also has what looks like a non-standard transmission mount.

Got in out of the garage to see how the new seats & carpet look now that the interior is at the 90% finished stage.

Big milestone this week getting all the glass put in. Windshield had me nervous but it really went smoothly.

Yep, 32mm or 1/2" + 3/4"

Will be using the Suby flywheel/clutch/pp with a crank spacer. Super easy
