Installed a spare/cleaned up throttle body. I did the clean up awhile back but finally got around to lubing the shaft, putting loc-tite on the plate screws, and installing a new TPS board I had from 914 rubber. Got everything installed and fired right up. Idle seems better and ran great. Need to do a longer drive to see if there was any improvement my hot idle/stumble situation.

We had a break in the rain, so I got her out for a nice ride.
More important, I picked up some used pallet racking and can see the light for organizing all of my 914 junk, I mean valuable parts. |

Car wouldn’t start. Checked the fuel tank and couldn’t see any liquid. I guess I was lucky to drive home. Started right up when I added fuel.

Started right up when I added fuel. that happened to me last week, different car, but my daughter borrowed the '04 jaguar, drove to work came home parked the car, i went to take it to run some errands the next day, didnt start, checked and fuel light was on, added fuel , good to go, not sure how she got home must have been running of fumes and the lsight incline of the driveway was enough after parking to not be able to get what was left in the tank i guess. - it happens |

Well heck it is aluminum Can you say uni-bit and a rat tail. Darn, now I have to man up and weld this with a mig. Never welded aluminum before and this is a very important part. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) |

I would think that should be fine. I would use TIG vs MIG though.

I would think that should be fine. I would use TIG vs MIG though. Thank you. All I have is access to a MIG. Get it over to me or Bruce, I'll TIG it for you Oscar That would be a tremendous help. Thank you! |

I went to the nursing home this morning as I do every morning and the nurse comes in and says to me “I thought after her second test yesterday I wouldn’t see you around. “ “ What test?” Says I. “Didn’t your wife tell you?” “She has covid…” (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) My Mrs can’t remember anything, it was as big a surprise to her today as it was yesterday and the day before. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) would have been nice of them to tell me, since my wife sees a memory doctor 4 times a week.
Thank you Oscar, I’ll contact you after I’m better. |
