Got the engine installed in my black 73 project. Hooked up the fuel lines and the wiring today. Will do the exhaust and fuel pump this week. Ray (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Fixed a front suspension clunk and had to make sure it was fixed in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Also got my car back after the baby deer collision. So I used a steel bumper this time, and did the Nissan 350Z grille for the radiator. Also popped on some Hella lights for bling. The last thing to do is get my factory headlights back in. Hey, nice car. What do you mean by the "did the 350Z grille for the radiator?" I can't see the grill in the pic. |

Hey, nice car. What do you mean by the "did the 350Z grille for the radiator?" I can't see the grill in the pic. My favorite grill style for 914 H20 conversions. Tried to pull it out of his pic some, but too dark. Check out Jerry's example in the link below. Yea, that is where I got inspiration to do this.
Mine still needs some work to make it match the curvature of the bumper (not that easy). Work in progress all the time! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Hey, nice car. Checked the tranny fluid level to find it was a quart short. After filling, I went for a drive in hopes that solved my shifting problems. It didn't. Now it's time to drop the engine and tranny for a rebuild on the trannsmission. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) You don't "have to" drop the engine (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

I installed the Tangerine Racing cable throttle linkage for dual carb setups. I'm very pleased with how it works (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Getting closer to having a zero bind in the front suspension. So much fine tuning. Spent three hours filing a marking and filing tonight (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I got one piston off the rod so it's cleaned and has a new set of rings it. The wrist pins gave me a fit (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Tomorrow may be a couple more (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I went outside to drive it, discovered the battery was totally flat. The 3 month old battery is bad. . so, now I need to replace it.

Sent off two driver side stainless heat exchangers to make one good one. Cutting the 2.0 muffler mount end off of the one with crack in pipe and welding that to a solid 1.7 unit. Will be delivered in the morning. Can't wait to install as it will do two things - get rid of the exhuast leak and allow me to hook up the heat (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
