fine tuning the MPS for proper A/F (had been running way too rich, got an mps that was set to factory specs , caused bad idle issue - it was WAY lean, - now it seems to be good, ran great to work yesterday, and

Drove it to work today, - yesterday put in a new rear window/engine deck seal- old one came out in a thousand pieces.

- blew a fuse today not sure why? #8/9 lost the tach, fuel level, cigarette lighter, console volt meter and oil temp. so what i dont know until i can troubl shoot this at lunch is whether there is a short or loss of ground connection that caused the fuse to blow or just a fuse issue---

fun fun fun. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) its the usual- drive the car 2 weeks , fix something. etc
- at least it is not on jackstands! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Yesterday I drove Christine to work. This morning I drove Delilah to work. Sure was a lot of fun.

Was the first time either had been started in over a month. Fired right up with no problems.

Retrieved my motor yesterday. Started mocking up parts. next step, transmission and engine cradle.
Engine: Subaru Japanese spec 2.5L sequential turbo with 300hp and 300ft lbs of torque from the factory. I will probably go with a single turbo to get the car on the road.
From the car side, got my front hood fitted, now I have to get the headlights in and finish fitting them.
On the rear deck i have to finish up the duck tail and get everything welded into place.
Take the doors to get welded and then media blasted. then back to my house for primer.
Shoot the two lizard skin components in the cabin and firewall.
iron out a few wrinkles and re primer, cut and sand then ready for paint.

I cut more, poked more, prodded more... then gave up.

This CAN'T be a west coast car. I quit. I think the only parts that don't have rust are the targa top and the tires.

Guess I'll strip it all down, bin the tub and decide if another tub transplant is in my future or not. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Yeah thats a pain in the ass. Getting that clip to close under the air box was not easy, I used a wide blade screwdriver, patience, and cussin'.

Richard came by the shop Monday and Tuesday morning. The engine and transaxle are bolted in and the axles attached.

It looks like I need to re-engineer the mounting plate for the Tangerine firewall bearing to allow for a little more shift rod travel (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) ... otherwise the H/Es and Triad would have been installed too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I had a friend take a little material off of the back side of the shift rod bearing's housing. This should take care of the shift rod travel issue.

Drove it. Then took the plugs out, regapped them to .045 because of the Pertronix install. Took the top off, and drove it again.

75F in the Smokies so I drove mine with the top off (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Unfortunately, electrical gremlins appeared and left me on the side of the road for about half an hour. Finally got it started and limped the 3-4 miles home. Haven't had a chance to figure out what is going on (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

got my push rods and rocker assemblys, oil cooler and fan w/ shroud intalled on the engine. Pulled the car infront of the garage and got to working on the body again. got a few holes behind and under the driver sail pannel welded in. and the battery tray out. its trashed so ill make a new one. gotaa fix up the hell hole a bit first. the other side is surprizingly good. the rest of the car not so much
