your getting grumpy in your old age Andy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) Actually, i was born grumpy. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Just like the other 80 million Germans ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Andy That explains why I am grumpy 1/2 the time... of course since I am Scottish and German I guess that explains why I can drink like a fish and be grumpy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Great work day! Andy will post pics when he gets home. We got a ton done and hit a milestone by getting the side walls complete, including the seat belt mount plates. Yippee! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/boldblue.gif)

BTW, how youse maniacs gonna register that thing? Limos require special plates and inspections....... Technically, it's not a limo ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) The wheelbase is shorter than your average mid-sized pickup truck. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) Andy |

Not that anyone plans on getting into an accident, but the 914 seat belt won't function correctly the way it is mounted. There is a pendulum inside that swings from rear to front when mounted in the stock location that "catches" the seat belt cog to keep it from unreeling in the event of an accident. As it is mounted now, it will swing from side to side.
There is also another cam that engages when the belt unreels rapidly so I guess technically it will half-function. A retractable belt from a 70's VW Bug would have the pendulum situated correctly for this application. |

It's getting 944 belts. No problem. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) The belts in the pictures were only for mocking up the mounting position and making sure everything lined up correctly ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) Andy |
