Orange hasn't hit the US yet, Gint. If you want a dark green one, send your address in a PM and I'll drop one in the mail. I have plenty.
I appreciate the offer, but you don't have to do that. I'll keep poking around for one.

When are the orange ones due in the US?

No idea, Gint. I usually check ebay to see when new stuff seems to hit the pegs and then wait about a month until stuff hits the local stores.

I am happy to share after I hit 10 - we have 10 active members in the German Car Club here - they get first right of refusal.

I tried to buy 6 of these off Ebay, I guess somebody thought they were more valuable than I did.

These have to be hitting the usual retail places soon I would think - but haven't seen any here.

I haven't been able to locate any but the two green cars locally lately. However I was just up in Carmel visiting my folks for Christmas and went in to "Woodies of Carmel" and found this Schuco 916. Paid $14.95 for it.

I checked out the Schuco site and can't find it.

This is exactly what I'm thinking about doing with my current 74!!! I couldn't believe that I found something like this.

Has anyone seen this one before?

I have only seen one Schuco Junior Line - I have a yellow one. But yours looks a lot like the High Speed 916 - which should still be available out there.

Schuco made them a couple of years back
they were part of the "Schuco Junior Line"

331 5080a - Porsche 914-6, red
331 5080b - Porsche 914-6, green
331 5080e - Porsche 916, metallic blue
331 5080f - Porsche 916, blue

the 916 was also available from HighSpeed

the Porsche Museum sells the metallic blue one in a special box

all of them show up on eBay every now and then ...

Very true (thanks Zimms (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) ) and the dark green one is the same color as my 71 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

May have to keep that car now that I have a matching Matchbox (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Hit TRU today with Scotty B and scored a black squareback, black samba, and black bug. All larger scale and high detailed. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) Pics later.
