I did score a nice Hot wheels VW thing, though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Like this?

It also comes in brown and orange.

EDIT: here are the pics. from camera phone

So the only difference between the Hotwheels and the Matchbox is the wheels and which direction it faces?

Also the top is down on the Matchbox. Mattel makes both Hot Wheels and Matchbox, there are subtle differences but pretty much the same car.

Matchbox face to the left. Hotwheels face to the right. Generally anyways.

I'm waiting to see if HotWheels comes out with the 914!

I am trying to get a hold of someone at Mattel to see what it would take to have them possibly make a "914 world" logo'd car? If the site and whomever owns the logo would agree? Possibly use the proceeds for donating to good cause's. Just a thought. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

A Hot Wheel 914 would be great.

@Brett, none at the Sunnyvale Target today.

I like the Hot Wheels better because of the personalized packaging (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I just got back from wally world. The shelves were all restocked, but no 914. Several ghias, though. At $.97, I could not resist the Willey's Jeep, an $.88 die cast Porsche 9xx (I dont know shit past the 911), and a $3 die cast P-38 (talk about lucky!).

Great, just what I needed, another habit/hobby.

Yeah, at .97 cents they are hard to resist, but can become addictive... We bought them for Hudson as potty training rewards years back, but now dad usually ends up with one when Hudson does (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Addictive yes! I started buying as an adult to make up for my childhood. Look whats happened to me now? I buy atleast 3 of everything. 1 to take out of the package and the others to have (just in case)! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

I buy VW and Porsche from the link in my signature! Not .97 cents, Few Teeners but a crap load of the other Porsche models. Even a Porsche Diesel Tractor 1:18 Scale at $98.00 bucks!

I hit all 3 Super Wally's today in Tulsa. No 914's. Target has 0 Matchboxes. Tomorrow, I'll check the Super Wally's in BA and Bixby. Maybe Owasso.

They have made it to the east coast (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

I scored one in Wilmington, NC. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) I went to 3 Wallyworlds, target, and Kmart. Found one that had been knocked off of the hook at the 2nd walmart. Still looking for at least 2 more. Got to try to paint one like mine (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
