I found one dark green and one Ninja green today. Slim pickings, considering that I rode almost 60 miles one way in the heat to the farthest store.

I'll look the next chance I get, but I'll bet George grabbed all of them within a hundred miles. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif)

Hello, here you are...I took a picture of all 3 of my Match box 914 cars.

On the left is the early light green USA version I bought it on ebay, in the middle is the CANADIAN version I bought at Walmart while visiting the Winter Olympics in Vancouver, on the right is the car I bought here in Japan...the Japanese version card is smaller, also the back of the card is written in several languages and also has a sticker written in Japanese stuck on the back of it...the color is the brighter green (2nd version)

Here is the picture for you....

There are also other differences I noticed on the USA and Canada version too...first the front of the card...the US version says Heritage classics, the Canadian version does not. On the back of the US version its in English only with the "the tires are squealing, race course is tricky ", the Canadian version does not have this and instead has French and English on the back as most things are sold in Canada that way.....the Japanese ones does not even have Japanese on it, the back of the card is in several languages (looks to be a European card I think) with a sticker placed over it in Japanese for the market here....

I added numbers to your photo - which one would you like to trade?

I have #1 (and the same blister box with the slightly darker green version) and #3

I would be interested in #2 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

Unfortunately #2 is the only one I have, I got it when I was visiting Canada during February, so I would like to hold on to that one....but if you have some friends in Canada they should be able to help you get those....I bought it at Walmart for less than $2....I had two here but my Daughter opened one up so I have a loose car which she loves and the other one I plan to keep for my collection on the card....I can trade one of my #3 cars if somebody is interested for a dark green car unopened. Thank you

I'd like to have a #3 but I don't have a dark green. I only have the 2 colors you have.

Just pulled the trigger on a lot of 6 Dark Green. In CA, will take months for these to start showing up, if like the original release. And factoring in price of gas, works out to be a little more than retail. Will bring my total to 16, time to start customizing with the boys home for summer vacation.

As some of you know, I collect almost everything around the teener.
Currently I have (4) different versions of the Matchbox 914, waiting for another one to come per mail.
But I couldn't manage to find the yellow one, that I saw in this thread.

Attached Image

talking about the right one in this pic

So, if anybody has got one and would consider to sell / trade it, I would be highly interested (only if absolutely mint on mint card) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Hi Wolfgang,

I'm pretty sure the poster confessed that he found out it had been opened - painted yellow and resealed. Very clever - had us going for awhile......... Not really available as a production unit!

That yellow one is "counterfeit" according to the owner:

Well the guy a purchased it from admitted that it was opened and painted, then resealed

The trouble with looking for new teeners is you find other stuff.

Meijers decided to stop carrying their Greenlight cars, and put them on sale. So, I went to all the stores I knew of and found:

Another 356...

A Jaguar XKE.... and

A Mini.....

Passed on a sky blue and orange striped AC Cobra and now I regret it...

Enjoy!

And how can you go wrong with the Classic rides 5 pack No. 5....

It's got a PINK Cadillac.......

A yellow Karmann Ghia convertible in the back,

and a Green Lotus Europa.

I've seen those packs! I've never seen a yellow Ghia in a single package, and the purple ones have been as scarce as hens' teeth. But I found one on Friday and another one today, along with a Ninja Green 914 at each of those stores.

Purple Ghias are plentiful around here. Just let me know if you need some.
