This is a Bump to see if anything is new..

Your guess is as good as mine. I have PM'd and generally nagged Mark to death for pics and still haven't seen any. I'll have to call Brad tomorrow at the shop.

I have to live vicariously through people like Doug. I hope to be following in his footsteps sooner or later.

In the meantime, pics of my dipped tub would be nice.

Haven't been on in a while. Thought I'd log on and see how the acid dip came out on Gint's car but still no pics. Is it me or is 2 months a long time to post pics from something everyone wants to see? Did the car dissolve or something?

Here's a teaser... I have to go man the shovel for a couple of hours. I'll post the remaining pics later tonight.

Well, as far as repairing and painting the tub is concerned, I'm just writing the checks.

Lots more rust holes in that tub. They just aren't as large.

You talking about that section behind the passenger door? Yeah I saw that too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Looks like he's got a pretty good replacement piece to swap it with. It's gonna look good when it's done!

Mike,

Glad to see the pics and it's good to see progress! (yeh, I see the holes... "facts are your friends") I'm looking forward to seeing it complete! (I'm sure you are too -- heh)

Good luck with the project, and definitely continue with the pics!

kim.

Thanks guys.

I'm going to ask Mark if he can get some pics of the rust holes around the tub. I'm curious to see if the dipping turned up any rust that I didn't already know about.

That's the way to do it Gint! You will get evey rust hole this way and have a perfect car! What color and brand of paint? base / clear or single stage? How are you going to restore the seam sealer, did you take or have before shots of factory original?
