Does anyone have a list of small screws (sizes, lengths, head types) that would be used to install the various items of a 914? Things like the brightwork seal channels at the A and B pillars, targa seal retaining pieces, upper interior bolsters, and on and on..
I'm placing a small order at belmetric and noticed that they have a bunch of screws too.

The PET catalogue lists most of those sizes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) https://www.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesands...partscatalogue/

The ones on my 914 are all Phillips head, self tapping metal screws. Chrome. I don’t know the exact size.

I thought I'd update this thread to maybe save others the time that's involved in putting together an order for small metric screws used around the 914. It takes a fair bit of time and effort because the PET catalog that I was using is like 460 pages long and honestly not very thorough I suspect. Also while on the subject of the PET catalog - I came to realize that it's description of screws is confusing at best. For example a lot of what it calls for is read as "oval head sheet metal screw" - well oval-heads only come with a countersunk head (at least via Bel-Metric). So in reality a "Pan-Head" screw is more appropriate for those items because they're flat under the head.

PET labels other items as "counters. head tapp. screw" - which really means an oval-head (because they have a round top AND countersunk head), so yeah that's confusing.

The following is what I ended up ordering for my '72, but there are small changes also (mostly in lengths and sometimes count of these screws) that we see take place at the '73 model year on. It's not nearly in all instances but occasionally. The list probably isn't absolutely complete - I think there are probably some things missing.. if you can think of anything specific pm me, and I'll try to edit my post to add it.

1. Threshold Strip = Black Oval-Head , 3.5X16 ... 12
2. Interior Roll Bar Padding, Top and Sides = Pan-Head, 3.5X19 ... 14
3. Coat Hooks = Pan-Head, 4.8X19 ... 2
4. Interior Black Plastic Facia at A-Pillars = Pan-Head. 3.5X13 ... 6
5. Interior Black Plastic Facia at upper windshield = Pan-Head, 3.5X13 ... 2
6. Passenger Arm Rest = Oval-Head, 3.5X19 ... 3
7. Driver's Arm Rest Box = Oval-Head 3.5X19 ... 6
8. Standard Cushion Console = Oval-Head, 3.9X19 ...4
9. Knee Pad = Pan-Head, 4.2X13 ... 6
10. Sun Visor Retainers = Oval-Head, 4.2X19 ... 4
11. Speaker Grills = Pan-Head, 4.8X22 ... 6
" " = Oval-Head, 4.8X16 ... 2
12. Targa Top, side seal retaining channels = Pan-Head, 2.9X9.5 ... 8
" " " " " " = Pan-Head, 2.9X13 ... 2
" " " " " " = HexBolt, 2.9X13 ... 2
13. Targa Top, rear and small side seal retainers = Pan-Head, 3.5X9.5 ... 13
14. Targa Top, front facial pad = Pan-Head, 3.5X9.5 ... 4
15. A-Pillar brightwork seal channels = Pan-Head, 2.9X13 ... 10
16. B-Pillar brightwork seal channels = Pan-Head, 2.9X13 ... 8
17. License Plate Light screws = Pan-Head, 3.5X16 ... 4

SCREW TALLEY as ordered

Pan-Head :

2.9 X 9.5 (qty = 8)
2.9 X 13 (22)
3.5 X 9.5 (17)
3.5 X 13 ( 8)
3.5 X 16 ( 4)
3.5 X 19 (14)
4.2 X 13 ( 6)
4.8 X 19 ( 2)
4.8 X 22 ( 6)

Oval-Head :

3.5 X 16 (qty = 12) [either black or silver depending on early or late threshold strip]
3.5 X 19 ( 9)
3.9 X 19 ( 4)
4.2 X 19 ( 4)
4.8 X 16 ( 2)

HexBolt
2.9 X 13 (PET shows at targa sides) (?) qty = 2

This is the kind of list I was hoping to find when I originally posted the question. Hope it helps streamline someone's order in the future!
