Make damn sure you retain those pictures!

He's going to want them later...

I WOULD NOT trust digital (electronic storage) ONLY.

I'd make prints NOW!

So Cool!

I'm trying to find a picture of me now.

I was a little bit younger and checking out the engine of a performance go cart my dad had.
Even back then I was a gearhead...

I'd actually driven around "Watkins Glen" in that by that time, inside mom's womb.

Just shortly after I was born, I went Cape Cod to California and then to Texas SLEEPING on the engine cover of a VW bus.
My "lullaby" was a Type 4.
Parents said I went to sleep instantly on it.
Those were different days...

That explains it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Beautifully done - left me wanting more.... way more!

Hmm... a documentary of the "Trials, Tribulations, and Life of a car named #40" might be a very good thing?!?!?!?!?! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

I'm envious of Tinker's dad!

To have a daughter like that is "apex" bragging rights in the Automotive world!

I'd bet he is PROUD! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

Now, the video should have been longer...

Absolutely Keith ! @KSCarrera ... you had mentioned this place earlier here in the thread, fast delivery as well. They have a good selection of livery that I will use on another 914 proj car.

Traded in the shop rags/ 46 ida carb covers for a couple of cool 'Lids that I designed. My local upholstery shop>>who re-stiched the #40 Scheels, did his magic on these.

The Tops were instructed to be in diamond-tuft black, but he did these in red, with red pulls; I still dig the final product although a bit too much red.

Marty.
I think they look great, it adds a bit of color to the engine compartment for display, and will help to remember to take them off. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thx Jim ¡ I also had a layer of thick black (boat covering) canvas sewn just under the tops>> help keep any fumes from eating away at the fancy material (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
