where does everyone relocate their pumps. i need to move it up front and have room for a swaybar. i have a good facet pump.

I have only heard of this done with the stock FI pump. Maybe I have not paid enough attention though... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Here is the front location of a Facet pump. Eventually changed to a rotary. Needs to be mounted with rubber insulators. I used a pair of 914 fuel pump insulator rubbers.

I also found a fitting for the Facet to take the loop out and have it run straight back. No pic of that.

is it even neccessary for a carbed car? i have mine up front (under gas tank) but is in the way of installing a swaybar

A facet should fit real nice right here (stock location for a 75/76 fuel pump) even with a bar -- note the brake lines for a reference point -- this is on the drivers side fo the car. The bar is above the hole.

Next to the spare tire is enough out of the way. There's enough room even with a stock spare held in place. The extra line is not a problem with performance, etc. While moving the pump is not necessary. I like the fact that when my lines were lose, it shot fuel out of a place I could easily get to. Yes you will need to change to a different pump for carbs. I also like the pump out in tehopen, easy to get to for any replacement and fliter change.

we run two pumps, second one pulls the gas up out of the cel.
